I've got a new site in the works that will have more video, in-depth posts, immersion journalism, interviews, guest blogs and much more.

So what I want to know is:

What do you want?

Anything particular I can do for you? (Get your mind out of the gutter, ladies.)

What kind of posts would you like to see?

What kind of videos?

How about articles?

Interviews?

Guest blogs?

Nate's Friends Gone Wild (starring Kyle Hibler)?

A little more than 20,000 people visit this site every month and it's about time you all had a voice.

Hit me with your best shot. (Cue music!)

Your blog keeps me checking all the time. Keep it similar. How bout some more bring the pain, harcore training videos...? and no more pat benatar, no wait, actually, keep that shit.

GravatarWesley11:12PM on February 22, 2009

Yeah, the team cobra video was cool, and I liked the video where you showed how you make a quick breakfast. It would be cool to see you training in different places like at westside barbell or with Craig Weller in some exotic place. More videos of you living the life!

BTW I gained 14 pounds in the 6 weeks or so of using BFS, got my bench from 200 to 235 and deadlift from 275 to 345. Thanks so much man, I've never been this strong.

GravatarLuka Hocevar11:32PM on February 22, 2009

Nate,
definitely videos from some of your trips (Defranco's, Mahler, etc....) and maybe more insight on the training of some strength coaches.

Always love the lifestyle tips which you can't really write too much about.

Luka

Nate,

I tend to agree with the other guys, as the videos have been both entertaining and informative, all garnering repeat viewings. It may sound cheesy, but I feel like they add a certain sense of realism to all the advice you provide. For example, if I see you picking up grass-fed beef at the store, I'm much more inclined to do so myself.

And I certainly would never object to any amount of Kyle Hibler. :)

As much as I've enjoyed all the recent videos though, I've been missing what initially drew me to The Nate Green Experience - your writing. Some of my favorites include your "Atomic Pup" style mini-articles, as well as your "Random Acts", and I would love to see more of the same on the new site.

You're blog is high on inspiration and I respect every bit of information you provide. Thanks for everything so far and good luck with the new site.

-Eric

Nate,

As cool and inspirational as the video's are, I normally prefer to read rather than watch (this may be because I do most of my random surfing at work so can't listen to the video's anyway).

Same as Eric above, it's your style of writing that originally drew me to your blog. Not just training articles either, just thoughts about life in general are cool to read.

Interviews are also good, although I'm not really sure who to suggest you interview, unless you can get one with G.S.P. Don't think I've seen one from him on T-Nation before.

More nutritional advice would be awesome. I'd love to see more like http://www.precisionnutrition.com/expert-profile-nate-green..

How about some more tips for other trainers in the industry as far as publicity and how you got to the top

GravatarMatt Ellsworth09:03AM on February 23, 2009

The author of the Ultimate Lifestyle Guide for Men, should hit us with more lifestyle advice. Even just links and thoughts on other lifestyle authors. Also, stay funny.

Hey Nate.

Wesley described quite well what I like about this blog.
I like your videos and pics the most. It's fun and inspiring to see you training, buying food and living your life.

Cheers from Denmark :-)

20,000 visitors a month? Haha, so that's about 100 times my traffic. Nice.

How about more pictures like the one at the beginning of this article because that's fucking sweet.

Team Cobra video was hilarious and intense.

Your writing is fantastic.

Documentary type videos as Luka said would be really cool to see.

KEEP IT UP!

blogging tips
networking advice
books worth reading

BTW, if you haven't, you should read Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

GravatarDan12:38PM on February 23, 2009

I agree with the misc suggestions everyone else has been saying. As far as video vs articles, I'd like to see an even mix of both. I would like to see some behind-the-scenes thoughts/video of some of the interviews/places you've trained at.

What keeps me coming back is the variety of things you post about. Keep mixing it up!

GravatarChase Karnes01:06PM on February 23, 2009

Nate,

If it's not broke, don't fix it.

Your blog is great. Keep doing what you're doing.

Lifestyle, networking, marketing are all good areas.

Training videos and blog videos are great.

Guest blogs and guest videos would be cool.
For example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoL0_Q639v0

Kyle Hibler is hilarious.

Keep up the good work.

Hey Nate,

This blog is great. I am always coming back to it about 3 or 4 times a day to see any updates. It always excites me to see a new video because sometimes you just can't get a point across or explain something better than by showing it yourself. Just keep up everything you do. I am dedicated to your blog so no matter what changes you make I'll still be coming back.

P.S. It is "Fat" Tuesday today...or as some would refer to it as "Faschnat Day", I hope you are like me and enjoyed a nice glazed donut this morning. Like Nate said. MODERATION people.

Thanks buddy,

Chad

GravatarJonathan07:55PM on February 24, 2009

Hey Nate,

If you were to make videos for your blog, it'd be great if they could be captioned. If not, then perhaps you could make your videos 5 minutes or less so that I can send the youtube clip to SubPLY, which is a company that offers to type out the captions on youtube clips that are less than 5 minutes long for free for any one who asks for this service. If you wish to make a video clip that lasts longer than 5 minutes, then could I ask you to provide two options: 1 the entire video for those who wants to see the whole thing and 2 the entire video to be divided into however many video clips that are needed so that each one has 5 minutes or less.

I've enjoyed your blogs on life and lifestyle design. I also enjoy reading blogs about your own workouts, your life, your means of being healthy, and your tricks and tips of being healthy when time isn't plenty.

I also like your positive, witty, and humourous writing.

As for Chad who checks your website 3 or 4 times a day, go look into setting up a Google Reader or a Bloglines.com account so that it will notify you if there are blogs (that you've added to your list of blogs to keep up) with new entries so that you don't waste so much time for finding out if your favourite blog has a new entry or not throughout the day.

GravatarJMJ08:52PM on February 24, 2009

More training vid's. Keep up the lifestyle and motivational posts, like the one "Are you like most guys" That is deep. I printed that out.

Also, keep featuring other trainers and professionals that you recommend. Craig Weller's blog is always a good read. I wouldn't have found him without the link from your blog.

GravatarDavid07:04AM on February 25, 2009

More lifestyle blogs.

More blogs similar to the "Are you a real man?"

Some more Team Cobra videos.

Maybe some cooking videos (as an aspiring amateur chef, I always appreciate new recipes).

GravatarNate Green11:38AM on February 25, 2009

Thanks for all the comments, guys. I really appreciate it.

Thanks Jonathan..I will have to set that up then..but I mean I come on here to see what other people write in this comments section too. But I am still gonna set up that account.

Thanks,

Chad

Here are a couple ideas:

It would be interesting if you could interview Pavel Tsatsouline, Ross Enamait, or Brian Cushing.

I’d like to hear more about your writing process: how you get article ideas, how you decide on one idea versus another, if you have a writing routine that you follow, and any notable influences.

Having more guest posts is a great idea.

GravatarJimmy12:05PM on March 02, 2009

Nate,

I would like to continue to see the videos informing us on the different methods of training that you are currently using.

I also would like to see some tips on success and guest interviews from other fitness coaches on different topics.

GravatarMIke W.04:11PM on March 02, 2009

Videos are the best. Add some videos of some of the more challening movements for the newbies.

I bought your book and just finished my winter program and definately changed my physique. I started the spring program today and I haven't been more excited to get to the gym than I am currently. Dumbell Snatches and front squats are a little new to me so I could defintaely use a video on the technique.

Mike
